The MFMII kids choir is open to talented 1st - 5th graders. If you can sing and carry a tune, then you're the one we're looking for. Be part of the MFMII Kids Choir (soon to be in its 10th year) and get a chance to have fun, promote goodwill and perform in the East Bay area. Maximum 60 choir members. Who knows, this could be your road to stardom!

Audition Information
AUDITIONS FOR SEMESTER 2 WILL BE ON JANUARY 9 @ 3-5PM, VIA ZOOM
Spots for the audition are limited to 30 (on a first come, first served basis), as we have many returning choir members. Zoom link will be sent after signing up together with the audition time, on a first come first served basis. We will notify you of the audition results via email. Please check your schedules before registering and paying online, as there are no refunds, although tuition can be put towards the next semester.

MFMII Kids Choir Goals
- To develop the children's individual talent in music.
- To involve students in singing including vocal techniques, breathing, playing rhythmic instruments, and choreography.
- To provide performance opportunities and a variety of music.
- To encourage cooperation, responsibility, self-discipline, self-esteem, perseverance, respect and creativity.

Meet The MFMII Kids Choir Director
Lydia Concepcion, is the Choir Director of the MFMII Kids Choir. She is a graduate of the UST (University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music) with a Bachelor of Music degree, with a major in Music Education and minor in Piano and Voice.
Her first music assignment was Music Coordinator of PCU (Philippine Christian University) Elementary as well as the choir trainer and director of the multi-awarded PCU Little Singers for 13 years.
She migrated to the US in 2002, and now teaches private piano and voice lessons. Some of her former students are now performing at StarStruck, Aaaahz Youth Theatre, members of choirs touring around the country, and some serve as pianists in their respective churches. Some of the choirs she has directed over the years are WIN Newark Church Children’s Choir, JGS Anglican Church Children’s Choir, Genesis UMC Children’s Choir and presently the Evergreen Valley UMC Children's Choir in San Jose.
Lydia joined MFMII in the fall of 2014 and served as docent at Niles Elementary School teaching some of the 4th and 6th graders. Seeing her students perform at their best and enjoying what they are doing is truly a great accomplishment for her, being a music teacher. Email: [email protected]

The MFMII kids choir has had a busy holiday season in December 2019 and stole the hearts of audiences when they performed at the Niles Rotary Holiday Party, the tree lighting at Pacific Commons, their annual holiday concert at Niles School and also for the American Business Women’s Association. MFMII kids choir gave their last 2 performances of the year at LEAF's Earth Day event in April and their Sing For Spring concert in May. In both performances the kids shone brightly and they improved with each performance. Check out the great choreography too and the tribute to moms for mother's day. MFMII kids choir gave another outstanding community performance when they entertained the residents of the Masonic Homes, in the celebration of St Patrick's Day.
Hats off to the MFMII kids choir for sharing their musical gifts, by performing at many community events, this holiday season - Pacific Commons tree lighting, Niles Rotary, Holiday Concert and at the German School holiday party.
