  • " I would like to share a special story about a student with an IEP who, at the beginning of the year, showed no interest in any of the music activities I introduced. Over time, however, he has not only begun actively participating but is now making eye contact and following instructions consistently. It has been truly heartwarming to witness this transformation and to see how music can touch and connect with every soul. I am deeply grateful to everyone at Music for Minors II for giving me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young students. I truly appreciate being part of this wonderful community.

    - Shifali Rao, MFMII docent @ John G Mattos Elementary, 2026

  • @ Ms.Sudha Venkatramanan, Millard Elementary - "Students are more focused, participate actively, and respond well to routines built around music. The lessons help to support language development and reading fluency, and memory."

    - Diana Kim, 1st Grade Teacher @ Millard Elementary 2026

  • Just wanted to share a joyful moment from my last weeks kinder class - after singing oh I love America, one girl stated “ I love this song so much - it brings a happy tear on my face”. Kids in both my classes always asked me to repeat songs and were upset when I skipped one class due to being sick. There were a lot of questions around my absence the following week and over pouring hugs/ handwritten notes .There are so many joyful moments & conversations I am thoroughly enjoying but did not post here due to lack of time. Feel blessed to be an MFMII docent - I am so glad that I took the initiative and relentlessly tried until the principal said yes to bringing music to this school. WORTH EVERY BIT! Heartfelt thanks to entire MFM team.
